Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has secured strong overall rankings across seven practice areas in Chambers & Partners’ Global Guide 2023, including another consecutive Band 1 global ranking for its Latin American Insurance expertise.
DACB’s top-tier ranking for Insurance – Latin America – International Counsel sees the firm described by Chambers as “a stellar insurance outfit revered for its ability to handle high-level cross-border mandates involving Latin America.”  In addition, the firm’s “legal team is routinely retained by an enviable list of insurers to advise on high-stakes disputes resulting from catastrophic losses throughout the region.”

In the UK, DACB secured Band 2 rankings in Employment and Insurance Sector – Insurer (International & Cross-Border).  One client described the UK Employment team as “hugely impressive and able to handle any matter given to them.”  On the insurance side, Chambers described DACB as “renowned for its knowledge of product liability, healthcare and professional negligence matters”, saying the firm “stands out internationally for the strength of its contentious insurance practice.”

In Ireland, the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice was once again recognised, with Chambers noting, “DAC Beachcroft has built up notable expertise in professional disciplinary matters, with an impressive client list that includes several of Ireland's main statutory regulatory bodies.”

Seventeen DACB lawyers were ranked in the 2023 Global Guide, such as UK-based Insurance partners Anthony Menzies, Chris Wilkes, Duncan Strachan, Julian Miller, Liam O’Connell, Mark Kendall and Nick Young; UK Employment partners Khurram Shamsee, David Sims and Georgina Rowley, as well as legal director Kate Galloway and senior associate Rose Jakeman; UK Tax partner John Dunlop; UK Commercial Litigation partner John Bramhall; Dublin-based litigation partners Lisa Broderick and Rowena McCormac; and Colombia-based Insurance partner Camila de la Torre.
