We advise on complex site assembly, acquisitions and disposals, partnerships and joint ventures, estate management and net carbon zero strategies.
Our team includes property finance specialists whose experience includes: financing acquisitions and developments, acquiring corporate entities and corporate borrowing.
We advise on financial structures, refinancing and restructuring matters, including Islamic finance. We also advise on fund regulation, drafting the terms of the funds, dealing with management and distribution agreements, advising on fund manager remuneration, tax structuring for fund managers and investors and advising on distribution and management of funds.
Featured experience
- Acting for Lendlease on the disposal of the Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull for £90m and for Ares on the purchase of a £100m shopping centre in South Wales.
- Acting for a leading northern university on the acquisition of buildings beyond the current campus, for associated projects critical to the continued evolution of the university, in a joint project with the city council.
- Advising a Northern local authority on strategic acquisition of a partially constructed retail park (let to a discount trader, a supermarket, and a fast food operator), a high street comprising 90 units, and a 700 home residential development in Kirkby from an existing landowner/developer. The project included strategic advice on procurement of the works to complete construction of the retail park alongside our colleagues in Procurement and conclusion of an asset and property management agreement.
- Advised a private equity backed care home provider on the property elements of its disposal including certifying title to a portfolio of c80 care homes valued at around £750 million.
