Product Liability) claims in Ireland. Our Specialist Insurance Team provides efficient, expert advice, tailored to the specific issues which arise in the Irish jurisdiction. We adopt a proactive approach to case management and work with all parties to find solutions through compromise, mediation or alternative dispute resolution and try to avoid becoming constrained by formal litigation. Where litigation is unavoidable, we will make all efforts to minimise the impact and to deliver results swiftly. We adopt a rigorous approach to ensure that a commercial and practical approach to case management is taken in line with your strategic objectives. We help insurers to manage their budgets and reserves and always deliver a “no surprises” service on costs.
OUR TRACK RECORD
- Recent instructions include advising on policy response and settlement of a High Court action for damages in excess of €11m against a firm of accountants in relation to alleged negligent investment advice.
- Advising in relation to a €30m+ claim against an architectural consultancy firm in respect of the alleged negligent design of the façade of a large apartment complex.
- Defending a Spanish engineering firm specialising in bridges and large scale structures, in respect of proceedings issued by the N25JV in relation to a world record bridge spanning the river Barrow, constructed as part of the N25 New Ross Bypass PPP Scheme.
- Instructed to assist a large firm of engineers in defending claims made against it in relation defects identified at forty two state owned schools in October 2018.
