Overview

International law firm DAC Beachcroft has appointed catastrophic and fatal injury claims specialist David Spencer as a partner in the Sports Liability practice within its CSG business.

David joins from Clyde & Co, where he was a lead partner in its National Catastrophic Injury Group and also headed its Sports Practice Group, advising on a full range of sports-related issues covering insurance, claims, risk and regulation, particularly in relation to motor sports.

Described in The Legal 500 UK 2024 guide as having "unparalleled knowledge of fatal and catastrophic injury claims in motor sports", he is the key legal adviser to the National Governing Bodies for two and four-wheeled motorsport in the UK, as well as being the appointed solicitor for other national sporting and recreational associations.
