    Kai specialises in real estate dispute resolution and lease advisory work.

    He has over 12 years’ experience across a range of sectors including telecommunications, shopping centre/retail and licensed leisure.

    Kai has particular experience in matters concerning dilapidations, the interpretation of leases, opposed & unopposed lease renewal claims and all aspects of telecommunications and the electronic communications code.

    He has brought and defended many claims for possession (particularly mixed use premises and telecommunications sites), successfully obtained injunctions to ensure compliance with lease terms and acted for clients in the Lands Tribunal.

    Relevant experience includes advising:

    • Telefonica UK Limited and CTIL on strategy and risk in respect of a host of high profile sites subject to hostile notices and/or proceedings (including sites servicing Paddington Station, Elephant & Castle and many other locations, including major sports grounds, inside and outside of London).
    • Various clients following the enactment of the Digital Economy Act 2017 and the new electronic communications code. The advice has been varied but includes industry and market affecting strategy work, interpretation of the legislation and how it should be applied.  

    Kai is also a member of the Property Litigation Association.
