The amount compensators are required to pay to the Compensation Recovery Unit in relation to treatment provided to injured claimants will increase for injuries suffered on or after 1 October 2024, as follows:
|

             Injuries from 1 April 2024 |

             Injuries from 1 October 2024 |

|
             Outpatient |

             £825 |

             £848 |

|
             Inpatient |

             £1,014 |

             £1042 |

|
             Ambulance Journey (per Journey) |

             £249 |

             £256 |

|
             Maximum |

             £60,610 |

             £62,272 |

These changes mark the second uplift in 2024 and the combined effect of these is that the increase over the last twelve months has been in excess of 5%.
This increase impacts on claims inflation and compensators must ensure that reserves for accidents which occur on or after 1 October 2024 reflect the increased level of charges.
