Ross has over 30 years’ experience advising clients across a range of sectors including providing coverage advice and defending claims against accountants, barristers, corporate service providers, insurance brokers and solicitors. His key clients include Aviva, Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund, and Markel.

Ross’ particular expertise involves complex, high-value professional negligence claims, often where hard-fought professional reputations are at stake, or an offshore element is involved. Ross' D&O and financial institutions practice is focused on providing coverage advice and the monitoring of complex litigation often centred around offshore and Southeast Asian jurisdictions such as Jersey and the Isle of Man, and Malaysia and Thailand.

Ross’ relevant experience includes: 

• Providing Singapore insurers with coverage advice in relation to a HKD multi-million claim arising from a well-known fraud affecting the worldwide re/insurance industry 
• Providing insurers with coverage and monitoring advice in relation to the collapse of a state building in Bangkok affected by an earthquake in Myanmar  
• Advising the London Market in relation to a £100m negligence claim against an offshore professional trustee. The claim was successfully settled after two days of mediation saving the insurance tower multi-millions of pounds on the expected outcome. 
• Successfully defending a major UK law firm in a three-week Commercial Court trial relating to advice provided in a dispute involving a Premier League football club
