  • Biography

    Robyn has over 16 years’ experience advising clients across a range of sectors including health and social care, criminal/regulatory law, and commercial litigation. His key clients include a number of large NHS Foundation Trusts, as well as national independent health and social care providers.

    Robyn has built up a wide range of experience from running his own criminal law solicitors practice for a number of years. His practice encompassed serious crime such as homicide and fraud, as well as general crime and regulatory matters.

    He provides advice to clients (both organisations and individuals), who are subject to investigation by the police for corporate manslaughter/gross negligence manslaughter, and by the Care Quality Commission for breaches of Health and Social Care Act legislation.

    Robyn has extensive experience of representing healthcare professionals and organisations at inquests, including complex, high-profile Article 2 jury cases.

    In addition, Robyn is a member of the Law Society's Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme. As a criminal solicitor, he has extensive advocacy experience from appearing in the Magistrates Court, and with clients subject to PACE interviews under caution.

    Some of Robyn’s relevant experience includes:

    • Representing a large mental health NHS Trust in a complex six-week long homicide inquest involving multiple interested persons
    • Representing a large independent health and NHS Trusts provider in cases involving patient deaths and subsequent investigations/prosecution by the CQC
