Nikita specialises in construction and engineering matters to resolve disputes quickly and efficiently through litigation or an alternative dispute resolution procedure such as adjudication.

She has over 4 years’ experience advising clients in relation to a wide range of disputes across the public and private sectors as well as student, residential and commercial development projects. Her key clients include house builders, developers, contractors, consultants and subcontractors.

Nikita also has experience with non-contentious construction matters such as interpretation, negotiation and drafting of contract documents. She has worked on many construction projects (of varied sizes) in relation to drafting contracts, working with standard form contracts / other construction documents and providing advice to clients in relation to various contractual issues, including dispute avoidance and negotiation at all stages of projects.

Relevant experience includes advising:

• A large contractor company in relation to a dispute relating to defects and delay on a large commercial project.
• A client / employer in relation to extensive defects on a large commercial / residential development.
• A large contractor company in relation to various cladding disputes across various historic projects.
• Various government departments in relation to claims for defects and delay on various projects.
• A contractor company in relation to payment disputes.
• A large house builder company in relation to various disputes relating to payment and defects.

In addition, Nikita is also a committee member of the G4C Tees Valley.
