Niamh has a broad range of experience gained in the insurance sector. Her main practice area is clinical risk, healthcare, and life sciences. 

She qualified in a large Dublin law firm and has worked in the UK and Ireland both in-house and private practice. She also worked in the regulation department of the Law Society and ran her own practice for a number of years. Niamh returned to DAC Beachcroft in 2013, who she had previously worked for in London. 

Niamh represents clients in the healthcare sector in the defence of medical negligence claims both on behalf of a large number of international insurers and on behalf of many healthcare professionals. These include consultants, private hospitals, public hospitals, doctors, nurses, counsellors, cosmetic clinics, dentists, diagnostic clinics, fertility clinics, pharmacies, laboratories, and medical devices companies. She also advises Healthcare organisations on a wide range of various issues. 

Niamh also acts for insurers in the area of professional liability and interpretation of policies. She also advises professional associations in the areas of regulation, regulatory change and professional practice. She has presented on issues such as law reform commission insurance reform and a variety of topics to include emerging or legislative changes. 

Niamh is Chairperson of one of the independent tracker mortgage redress panels established by Allied Irish Bank and the Chairperson of another redress panel.
