    Naomi has over 20 years’ experience advising property professionals, solicitors, accountants, tax advisors, and insolvency practitioners. Her key clients include major professional indemnity insurers.

    Naomi regularly advises a large property consultancy on issues impacting its business. She has expertise in defending property agents against claims arising from the letting, management, and sale of residential and commercial property, and defends valuation professionals. Naomi regularly acts for solicitors in the defence of claims in the context of residential and commercial conveyancing, divorce, corporate/commercial transactions, and lost litigation opportunities.

    She also acts for accountants and tax advisors in defending claims relating to accounts preparation, audit, insolvency appointments, and tax advice (including failed tax saving schemes). Naomi advises on policy coverage and risk management. She is commercially minded and an advocate of ADR to explore creative solutions to complex disputes.

    Naomi is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales.

    Featured experience:

    • Defending a national property consultancy alleged to have negligently overvalued a purpose-built student accommodation scheme in Aberdeen through to trial
    • Defending a tax advisory practice and an individual partner in a £35M multi-party claim arising out of the collapse of a property sourcing club where allegations of negligence, shadow directorship, breach of fiduciary duty, unlawful diversion of income, dishonest assistance and fraudulent trading were made. Naomi project-managed the case to a five-week High Court trial, where the claim was successfully defended and indemnity costs awarded. She was praised for her conscientious approach and attention to detail.
    • Defending a multi-million-pound claim against an accountant following the collapse of precious metal refining business, where the liquidators alleged our client assisted in transferring assets out of the failing business at an undervalue
    • Successfully defending of a substantial claim at trial against a national solicitors’ firm, where the claimant peer-to-peer lender alleged that inadequate drafting of and advice on loan documents resulted in a loss on its loan account
