Bio
  • Biography

John qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined DAC Beachcroft in 2013.

He has extensive experience acting for a range of international and domestic insurers, along with self-insured parties in the defence of personal injuries claims from inception through to completion.

John deals with a wide variety of claims to include employer's liability, public liability, products liability, defamation, road traffic accidents, and fatal injury claims, and insurance coverage disputes.

Prior to training as a solicitor, John worked in the insurance industry as a claims handler. He trained as a solicitor with a commercial law firm where he worked primarily in the areas of litigation and contentious employment. Before joining the Dublin office, John gained a number of years' experience with another Dublin practice where he acted for a multi-national insurer defending a portfolio of insurance claims in all courts in Ireland.

John has experience in handling high value complex cases and regularly represents clients in alternative dispute resolution fora. He also has particular experience in defending cross-border injury claims and supporting stakeholders in the travel industry relating to claims arising out of accidents abroad.
