Rachel spent eight years at another leading aviation practice, initially becoming a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives before qualifying as a solicitor. 

Rachel has experience advising clients across a range of contentious and non-contentious areas including liability for personal injury and fatal accidents, accident investigation, arbitration, mediation, regulatory advice, and managing high-volume claims such as those arising under EU Regulation 261. Many of the matters on which she advises involve an international element.

• Acting for insurers and associated co-insurers of an all risks policy in a sanctions-related aircraft coverage dispute 
• Representing the insured clients in a high-profile, High Court litigation and ultimately the negotiation of a multi-party settlement agreement, relating to a fatal air accident involving a Pioneer 400 
• Providing regulatory advice to a major middle eastern airline relating to its global regulatory compliance requirements, including liaising with a large number of foreign local counsels, relating to the provision of package holidays to UK consumers, and consumers in dozens of foreign jurisdictions 
• Assisting a major airline in relation unauthorised importation of live cargo into the UK 
• Advising insurers in relation to fatal and non-fatal kite surfing accidents in France 
• Advising insurers in relation to two non-fatal accidents in Greece 
• Assisting a major tour operator in relation to its booking conditions and claims arising from COVID-19 cancellations and restrictions 
• Advising a number of airline clients in relation to liability under EC Regulation 261, handling hundreds of claims a year 
• Advising a Middle Eastern airline in relation to a damages claim
