International law firm DAC Beachcroft has reappointed Andrés Amunátegui to serve another term as Location Head for its office in Santiago de Chile. His new three-year term began on 1 May 2025.
Andrés is a partner in the firm's Insurance practice who specialises in both insurance and reinsurance, as well as litigation and arbitration. He represents and advises local and international clients on Property and Casualty, Financial Lines, Product Liability, Environmental and Cyber-related claims.
In addition to serving as Location Head in Santiago de Chile, Andrés is also Regional Head of DACB's Latin American practice.
"I'm delighted that the firm is once again putting its trust in me to lead our Chilean office," said Andrés. "I continue to work closely with our Chilean practice head, Guillermo Amunátegui, and this last year has been an especially exciting one for us, as we grew our team in Santiago de Chile through the addition of a seven-strong team from litigation law firm RRA (Ríos Abogados) and enhanced our client offering.
"I'm immensely proud of the role our team in Chile continues to play in delivering strategic growth for DACB in Latin America and supporting our clients across the region."
"Andrés has overseen significant growth in the LatAm region in recent years, including in his home office in Chile," said DACB’s Senior Partner Virginia Clegg. "He has proven himself to be an outstanding leader, and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with him to deliver our strategy and to support our clients and colleagues in Santiago de Chile."
DACB's office in Santiago de Chile represents local and international insurers, as well as international reinsurers, on all issues related to insurance management, corporate loss adjustment processes and dispute resolution. In December 2024, the firm combined with Chilean litigation law firm RRA (Ríos Abogados) to bring in a highly skilled and top-ranked team with extensive experience in supporting the Chilean insurance market on complex insurance claims, arbitration, as well as regulatory and corporate matters.
