DACBe Claims Ready Reries - Session 4 - An Overview of US Litigation
Join our Insurance Team for an Overview of US Litigation
We look forward to welcoming you to the fourth and final session in our DACBe Claims Ready Series 2026. This training session will focus on US litigation, including an overview of the following topics:
- The US Legal System – A Tangled Web of Intrigue and Confusion
- US Discovery and Jury Trials – A Marathon, A Sprint, and a Too Close To Call at the Finish Line
- The Duty of Upmost Good Faith and Fair Dealing – Be Open, Be Fair, Be Kind (but does it matter?)
This session will be jointly led by Jamie Denenberg and Vitaly Vilenchik, Associates from our DAC Beachcroft office in New York.
You will gain an understanding of the US legal system, an appreciation of how US litigation differs from English litigation and will be given top tips of things to look out for when handling US-based claims.
The session will include both a presentation and an interactive segment.
We very much look forward to seeing you all then.

As with previous sessions, the content will be aimed primarily at junior claims handlers, but please do feel free to share internally with colleagues who are involved in handling US claims and might welcome a refresher on key principles or the opportunity to ask questions of our US colleagues.
