Overview

The Personal Injuries (NHS Charges) (Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations 2025 and The Personal Injuries (NHS Charges) (Amounts) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2025, which come into force on 1 October 2025, will increase the charges recoverable by the NHS in England & Wales and in Scotland for injuries occurring on or after that date. The new figures are set out in the table below and show an increase of between 4% and 4.3% on the previous figures.

These increases have an impact on claims inflation and compensators must ensure that reserves for accidents which occur on or after 1 October 2025 reflect the increased level of charges.
